TabTrade — The Short Version
Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background is relevant. It suggests the leadership is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: forex, stock indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. Over 1,000 instruments. For something that is a few months old, that range is solid.
Platforms
Available: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both is useful. You are not locked into one.
MT5 is the default. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you know a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is offered for bots but is only on the VIP tier ($25k minimum). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would be a good addition when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.
Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. So your real cost can sit under half a pip. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. Tab Trade requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.
Does it matter? If you scalp, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, you will not notice. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That signals what kind of broker this is.
Combine that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.
The FSRA Question
Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are tier-1 alternatives out there.
That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Scam brokers do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You fund your account, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
