TabTrade Broker Review - The Good and the Catch
Tab Trade - What It IsTab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. His background tells you something. It means the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace. They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Interesting choice. What you can trade: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that is a few months old, that coverage is solid.PlatformsYou get: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from a single account. Many only give you one or the other. Having both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, it is familiar territory.cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.Direct FIX connectivity is offered for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That should round things out when it lands. What You PayThree account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits anyone who does not want to think about commission.Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that offer pricing like this ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for typical accounts. Do not worry about it unless you run serious volume. How Fast Are the FillsThe speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.Does it matter? If you scalp, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. The point is the setup is serious. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.Put together those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and the total package is strong. Few brokers in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.SafetyNow, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there. That said. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But be part of how you think about it.The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.Deposit BonusTab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Usual deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit. The complete breakdown, including the full fee table, withdrawal policies, here and here regulatory details, read more is at Trade The Day.
